Call for accountability through transparency

Carbon Footprint

Global warming and climate change have emerged as key issues in sustainable development and are the focus of government and international policy action.
The Carbon Footprint methodology, or carbon footprint, is used to measure the contribution that human activities make to Climate Change processes, and expressed in tons of Carbon Dioxide Equivalent (CO2 eq).
Maeba International has chosen to measure the Carbon Footprint of organization to make its environmental footprint transparent and quantifiable.

GHG Inventory of Organization

In order to quantify the value of our work, we examined Greenhouse Gas emissions by looking at the year 2021.
To do this, both the organization's own emission sources and those of third parties but included in our value chain were placed under scrutiny. The Greenhouse Gas inventory was carried out according to the outlines of ISO 14064-1:2018 from which a total emission value of 4,543 CO2 ton was shown. 245.46 CO2 ton equivalent are the emissions generated by our organization, while the most significant figure (4,296.92 CO2 ton equivalent) is the impact of the production of the recovered goods: emissions, the latter, that would be emitted again in case of new production of the fabric we recovered.

For a sustainable world

To date, the textile industry produces 10 percent of the world's CO2 emissions, uses 53 million tons of fiber per year, and generates 21 billion tons of waste per year.
By choosing Maeba International, you can contribute to the preservation of the environment and join the world of the circular economy by adding value to sustainability reports.
